Friends of the Animal Shelter in Saint Joseph planning two tours for 2020

The Friends of the Animal Shelter in Saint Joseph are planning two tours for 2020; one in the spring to London & Paris, and one in the fall to New York City.

Coordinator of Tours Benefiting The Friends of the Animal Shelter Saint Joseph, Sharon Bonnett, says the trips will be an easy way to see the sights.

"The Springtime in London & Paris Tour includes all of the traditional sights in both London and in Paris.  It also includes a wonderful Eurostar underground fast train transportation from England to Paris.  There will be dinner at the Eiffel Tower, cruise of the River Seine, and then of course the Louvre, art gallery, and Harrods'.  Then there'll be a highlight in London as well - Kensington Gardens, the Tower of London, Big Ben - everything that you would expect to see in London and in Paris that are major tour highlights."

Bonnett says the New York trip will include several broadway plays,  tours of Central Park, Ellis Island & the Statue of Liberty, as well as a visit to the World Trade Center.

Bonnett says the trips are to raise money to renovate a newly-bought facility for the shelter.

"The new shelter for the St. Joseph operations will be in the former Bayern pharmaceutical building.  They have purchased that building and are in the process of having an architect draw up plans to make best use of the facility.  The entirety of the proceeds from either tour will go to help meet the cost of renovation."

A meeting previewing the tours will be presented tomorrow at 6:30 in the East Hills Public Library in Saint Joseph.
